A large-plate, hand-pulled photogravure printed in 1895 by Charles Whittmann in Paris on French (mould made) white Marais paper, with the original copper plate made by Viennese engraver J.Blechinger, it was originally issued for the limited-edition portfolio published by the Photo-Club de Paris for their Second International art exhibition held in Paris that year. (Deuxième Exposition d‘Art Photographique 1895)
