This rural landscape study featuring wildflowers growing near a wood fence was taken by the important American pictorial photographer Rudolf Eickemeyer, Jr. (1862-1932) A vintage hand-pulled photogravure, it is printed in a light greenish ink and was originally published in Camera Notes, (1900: vol. 4, no. 2) the groundbreaking journal of photography which was the organ of The New York Camera Club and edited by Alfred Stieglitz.
