This misty and snowy landscape shows a hunter with his rifle slung over his shoulder and dog by his side makiing his way through a forest. French photographer Ferdinand Coste is the author of this work titled Aufbruch Zur Jagd (Departing for the Hunt) within the lower plate margin. This vintage hand-pulled photogravure was printed in 1897 and included in the important German publication Die Kunst in der Photographie.
Condition: Very Good.
Scattered light foxing to plate margins along with faint offsetting below lower margin plate impression area. Bumping to top right corner with some foxing directly behind it on verso. Please inspect both photographs with listing. (please email if you require additional photos)
